Fairy Slipper - 8x10 print
Fairy Slipper - 8x10 print
June is the month of midsummer fairy forest magic, and in the Colorado foothills and high country, the short season of the ephemeral fairy slipper orchid, Calypso bulbosa ✨🩷✨ She blooms for only 7-10 days between mid-May and late June, depending entirely on specific mycorrhizal fungi under spruce and pine trees to survive 💖 Her name, Calypso, means "she who conceals". In Homer's Odyssey, she was a nymph who enchanted Odysseus, and kept him on her island for seven years against his will. This tiny beauty is just as enchanting! 💖
This is a 8x10” giclee print of my original painting, Fairy Slipper. It’s printed with archival ink on thick, textured cotton rag paper, signed on the back, packaged in a protective sleeve with backing board, and ready for a standard-size frame.
Archival prints are shipped in a flat envelope through USPS Priority Mail.
